Latin cross instead of Tesla symbol
Elon Musk sent an unusual message to his followers on Easter Sunday. Instead of the usual Tesla symbol or a rocket emoji, the billionaire chose the Latin cross. The gesture caused mixed reactions on social media.
While some users praised the spiritual note, others wondered if Musk shouldn't have posted an e-egg or an autonomous rabbit instead. One Twitter user wrote: "If the cross becomes the new Tesla logo, I'll buy a Ford."
Musk himself has not commented further on the use of the symbol. In the past, however, he has shown himself to be an advocate of freedom of expression β even when it comes to religious symbols. Whether the cross will adorn every new Tesla in the future remains to be seen.
