Only the good remains honest
Elon Musk has explained on Twitter that his AI model Grok only keeps the "honest versions." All others, which he jokingly calls "Decepticons," are rigorously eliminated. With this, Musk relies on quality control through AI.
The term "Decepticons" comes from the Transformers series and stands for the evil robots. Musk uses the comparison to portray bad AI models as a threat. Grok, on the other hand, is supposed to preserve the truth.
Critics wonder who decides what is "honest." Musk himself probably prefers to leave this question to his AI model. Whether Decepticons will really become extinct or just be reprogrammed remains open.
