After Grok was already touted as the ultimate answer to everything ChatGPT can't do, Elon Musk has now landed the next big coup. The AI chatbot is set to soon outperform tax advisors and complete complex tax returns with a single prompt.
"Grok understands tax laws better than any human", promises Musk in a tweet that has sent the financial sector into turmoil. Whether Grok is actually able to assess the deductibility of business expenses or correctly record special expenses remains to be seen.
Critics warn against premature trust in AI. "Tax law is complex and constantly changing," says tax advisor Müller. "I doubt Grok can keep up with the latest legislative changes."
Musk counters: "Grok is constantly learning and will soon submit more accurate tax returns than any human advisor." Whether that applies to Musk's own tax affairs as well remains his secret.
