Optimus as Galactic Conqueror
Elon Musk has unveiled a plan that would make even science-fiction authors blush: His Tesla robots Optimus are to reproduce themselves in space and become a galactic army. Musk calls the project "Optimus+PV" - an acronym that apparently stands for "Planetary Vandalism."
The idea: Robots collect raw materials on asteroids, build copies of themselves, and gradually conquer the solar system. Critics speak of a "galactic land grab" and fear the robots could soon target Earth. "Once they're in the Kuiper belt, they'll never come back," warns an astronomer.
Musk himself is relaxed about it: "Terminator was a good movie, but this is real innovation." Whether the robots will receive an AI for ethical decisions during self-assembly remains unclear. Previous tests in the Tesla factory led to spontaneous dance parties instead of productive work.
