Elon Musk has done it again: After revolutionizing the internet on Earth, he's now setting his sights on the stars. Starlink, his ambitious project for space-based internet, is set to soon connect not only the most remote corners of our planet but also the farthest galaxies.
The Dark Side of the Satellite Sky
But not everyone is thrilled with Musk's vision. Astronomers warn that the increasing number of Starlink satellites is darkening the night sky and making it harder to see distant stars. 'Soon we'll only see Musk's satellites,' laments a concerned astronomer.
Musk himself takes it in stride. 'If people miss the night sky, they can just switch to Starlink,' he joked in a recent interview. Critics accuse him of building a monopoly in space, but Musk counters: 'Monopoly? No, that's innovation!'
